I was just over at Revelife reading the newest post about homosexuality/censorship/students' rights. (How is that for narrowing down the playing field?) The post itself is good. It asks for an honest opinion about a student's right to refuse an assigned text in what sounds like a college class. The student, very politely from the sounds of it, requested an alternate assignment because s/he did not want to read a book with homosexual or incestuous content in it. As is generally the case with a post that sparks my interest, I took the time to read a few of the comments, and I was surprised to see the number of commenters who said they couldn't imagine books with that type of content being taught in public schools. I would like to take a moment to correct that misnomer:

WRONG!

If there is such thing as "reverse racism," then there definitely is such a thing as "reverse shallowness."  Our society somewhere down the line has conjured up this myth of "inner beauty" as a way of giving ugly people a consolation prize.  However, in doing so, it seems we've created a monster. 

Now, apparently inner beauty is exclusively for ugly people.  This is complete garbage because hot people can easily be nice and ugly people can just as easily be bitches.
