A Microsoft (MSFT) exec said the next version of the software giant's Windows operating system will go on sale in time for the holiday shopping season. Microsoft published a near-final version of Windows 7 last week, a sign it would be ready before the official Jan. deadline. Having Windows 7 in time for the holidays may boost PC sales.
