Computer Programs & Systems

Computer Programs & Systems Inc. (CPSI), is included in Friday's Your Weekly Review. The company provides information technology services to customers in the health care industry. Its Your Weekly Review chart analysis says it's in buy range, but it's not highlighted in a black box because its fundamentals are less-than-ideal.

  • Like just about every other stock showing unusual strength these days, it's a small cap. It trades about 240,000 shares per day.
  • CPSI's Earnings Per Share Rating is 90, but earnings growth decelerated in recent quarters.
  • And sales growth has been somewhat anemic, rising at a level of just 2% in the latest quarter.
  • Fund ownership has grown lately, and that's good.
  • Return on equity is healthy at 39%.
  • It's from the Computer Software-Medial group, which is home to a number of stocks with Relative Price Strength Ratings in the 90s.
