Last year Dusty Reagan, a Web developer and programmer in Austin, Texas, came up with an idea for a software application for the microblogging service Twitter.
The maker of flash memory drives soared 14.3% to 15.52 after it and rival Samsung Electronics agreed to renew a key cross-licensing deal. SanDisk (SNDK) said the deal guarantees it a portion of revenue Samsung will garner for flash memory sales. The companies didn't disclose financial details of the deal. Samsung offered last year to buy SanDisk, but SanDisk rebuffed the offer.
