Q: I have an unmarried couple buying a home. My question is, who gets the $8000 tax credit?

A: If they file jointly they will split the credit. However, if they file separately the "primary" will receive the credit. The primary will be the person with the lowest credit score. This info came from my mortgage lender…

A: I have gone on many threads where Voices Agents have harshly judged a Realtor with limited info. I have commented on that several times (and been criticized for my defenses or hints that we should know more before judging). I try to answer those questions with a position of first give benefit of the doubt…
