Hello Friend, As your account manager for Fidelity Home Warranty, I feel that it is my responsibility to keep you informed when things are happening in the warranty industry, in the hopes that the information I provide will protect you and maybe even more importantly, protect your clients. I sincerely hope you find the information valuable, so that you may better serve your clients on your future transactions. In saying this, we all know that a large percentage of business currently is REO. It is so very important that YOU order the home warranty yourself. The escrow company and officer on most REO's are either out of the area or in almost all cases are UNKNOWN to you. The REO escrow companies are so extremely busy that things are getting missed. It would be in your best interest to not count on them to order the home warranty policy. I'm sure they would appreciate the help with you taking care of that for them. What I am experiencing in the recent months is that the home warranty is either not getting placed and paid for at all OR the coverage is not being placed correctly. Can you imagine your client calling you 3 months after the transaction because they don't have a/c coverage? This happened recently and the new homeowner gave the bill to the agent! What if that was YOU? Please double check all your current escrows. Feel free to call me directly if you need to place an order 951 317-8767. Remember, it is the agents responsibility to order the home warranty on all transactions, REO or otherwise.....not the escrow officer. If you are interested I have a fax form that I have made up that I can email to you for you to use when ordering warranties. It's simple to use, just fill out and fax to my personal home fax number.
