Lets try to solve this problem once and for all. Updating the age of the leads always takes time and it never gets done as often as it should, obviously effecting the way we are hitting the new leads and not knowing which leads are new to begin with. Instead of having all the different kinds of prospects 01234, freedom voices01234, reos01234, and so on i.e. (the 1,2,3,4,5) we are going to modify our columns. See the PDF attached, You are going to have to add (create date), and (edit date) to you columns list. This way we are going to create a lookup of the group we are going to hit, and then just sort them by the (create date), and (edit date) with the most recent at the top, or whatever way you'd like to hit the database. This is going to save time and it's going to be allot more efficient.

I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner, but oh well.... We'll be able to see months back and hit them accordingly.

This does create a problem though..... If someone logs onto the database that has already been in our database it will not update the (create date) we will also have to use the (Edit date) column too. What I'm going to do is probably hit the (create dates) first, and then go back and hit the (edit dates) just in case we have had someone that has been here before that went back into the system. (that would probably mean they are a better lead too.

Also...
In the large PROSPECTS group that holds all of the leads, if you create a lookup of that it will show everything this has come in, and then sort it. I think this will make it more efficient and remove the frustration.

It's never going to be perfect. It reminds me of a quote though.
Perfection is our goal, excellence will be tolerated. J. Yahl

Subject: Prospects in Act?

Hey Dave,

Just wanted to see if new Prospects had been added to the "prospects" area of the database?  It appears of the 138 leads have been called multiple times.

Did something change in the system?

Thanks for the direction on this.
