Apple's iTunes blocked in China

The iPod maker's online music store may have been blocked in China since Aug. 19 because of a Tibet-themed album released a day earlier. "Songs for Tibet" features music by stars like Sting and a 15-minute talk by the Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan leader often vilified by China. The foundation behind the album said it believes the recording triggered the iTunes log-on problems. An Apple (AAPL) spokeswoman in China said the company is aware of the snags, but she had no further comment
