Apple, Russian carrier reach deal

The iPhone maker has inked a distribution deal with Russian wireless carrier Mobile Telesystems, (MBT) said Reuters, citing unnamed sources. Apple's (AAPL) smart phone is not yet officially sold in Russia, but unauthorized sales are widespread. Russia's top 3 carriers — MTS, VimpelCom (VIP) and MegaFon — have all been trying to reach an iPhone deal with Apple. VimpelCom and MegaFon declined to comment. Apple shares fell 0.9%. MTS shares rose 0.5% to 68.85.
