| On Saturday, Hurricane Ike came ashore just south of Houston and moved with force through our city. There are millions of people without electricity, thousands are now homeless and countless more are in need of supplies. It is at times like these that the Lord will raise up the church to meet the needs of a devastated community.
Houston is the home for Joel Osteen Ministries and Lakewood Church. We are strategically placed to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those that have been impacted by the storm. We believe that what the enemy has intended for evil, God will use for good.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, we are working with local churches and relief organizations to assist the people in our community. Our relief efforts include providing generators, water, non-perishable food items and other supplies.
In addition, our own ministry headquarters and church facility have sustained damage due to the high winds and flooding. For the safety of our congregation we were forced to cancel all weekend services, which will significantly impact our ministry finances.
When we join together, we can truly make a difference.

The best way to help is to give financially. Your financial support is critical to keep our local and national ministry operational, and to equip our ministry to reach thousands with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for all that you do to partner with us during this critical time to help our ministry be a beacon of hope to the Houston community. |
