ThinkScripterAttached is an email just sent out by thinkscripter that you should. Crash is one of the reasons I rarely frequent the room anymore. He and the other recently migrated oscar lunkheads, have significantly lowered the brain power of the room. Its an amazing number of duffus's that originated from oscars room. I know there is little you can do about it, but not encouraging them by giving crash credit for "his work" would help. Otherwise, it had been a great trading chat room and it certainly helped my trading.

Sincerely,
T

One of my readers brought it to my attention this week that I have a copy-cat blogger who is methodically taking my free code, stripping out the header, and posting it to his site. After a bit of research, it seems the self-proclaimed Robin Hood is combing the net for anyone else’s code, copying it, proclaiming to the world how much FREE-er it now is, all the while trying to convince others he wrote it. So far he’s grabbed some of Prospectus‘ content as well as some of Chris Ball’s and a slew of copyrighted material. A got a tipper that he hangs out in Dave Halsey’s Emini-Addict chat room most of the time under the moniker “crash.” Dave’s site is a great resource and I routinely send folks over there if they are looking for trading advice. Two minutes in the chat room and it was quite clear “crash” has no class. In the end, I suppose any resource promoting trading education can’t be entirely bad. I’ll leave it to you to form your own opinion. Here’s a link to his site:http://freethinkscript.blogspot.com/.

I am not a full time trader, nor have I ever claimed to be. I am a retired Naval Officer, married father of five, with a full time job. I have actively traded the markets for the last fifteen years and learned a few things along the way. One that I consistently tell people here is that there is no “Holy Grail” indicator, here or anywhere else. There is no indicator that will turn a bad trader into a good one or a non-trader into a successful one. Indicators can be part of a successful trading plan that incorporates structured rules and most importantly discipline. I have some great books on trading discipline on the “Good Books” page.

I started this blog as an educational resource for budding thinkScript writers. There was/is little or no documentation for thinkScript and so learning through example seems the best approach. The donation mechanism is merely a means for me to justify the time I spend away from my family writing code, answering email, and trying to point folks in the right direction. If $50 is too much for fifty indicators and a lifetime subscription, then I am really out of touch. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you all for your encouragement and support. I am forever grateful.
Eric
